Curiosidades del historial
El primer partido entre (Argentino de) Temperley y Almagro se jugó en 1932 y finalizó empatado 1 a 1. Los autores de los goles fueron Feliciano Perduca, que había jugado la final olímpica con la Selección Argentina en 1928 y Vicente Pérez, que jugaría para el seleccionado el mundial de Italia, en 1934.
El 23 de diciembre de 1956, Almagro y Temperley disputaron la final por la Copa “Círculo de Periodistas Deportivos”, organizada por esa entidad para festejar el primer aniversario de la inauguración de su sede situada en la calle Rodríguez Peña, en Buenos Aires. El partido se jugó por la noche en la cancha de Platense, con el arbitraje de Francisco Lamolina -padre- y finalizó empatado en un gol por bando. Se jugaron 30’ suplementarios sin que se modificase el resultado. Almagro ganó por haber forzado dos corners más que Temperley.
Juan Carlos Spada, centromedio de All Boys, llegó a Temperley en 1960. Jugó para los celestes en la primera fecha del campeonato y a los pocos dias firmó contrato con Almagro, club en el que permaneció el resto de la temporada.
Aníbal Tarabini, Oscar Aguilar y Ricardo Dabrowski debutaron en la primera Celeste frente a Almagro.
Pablo Vicó -actual D.T. de Brown- debutó en Temperley enfrentando a Almagro y marcó un gol.
Juan Marcelino Stork, en su debut con la celeste, le convirtió un gol de penal al conjunto tricolor.
En 1970 Almagro derrotó a Temperley por 3 a 0 en el Beranger. A los 10’ del segundo tiempo, cuando ganaba 1 a 0, el arquero Micozzi convirtió un penal que fue anulado por el juez Roberto Barreiro. En la repetición el remate salió desviado.
Ese mismo año Temperley y Almagro empataron 2 a 2 por el Torneo Reclasificación de Primera B, válido para evitar el descenso. El Tricolor ganaba por 2 a 0. Ambos goles convertidos por Delfín Benítez, sobrino de Benítez Cáceres, el legendario Machetero de Boca, Racing y la selección paraguaya. El descuento celeste fue convertido por Carlos Carberol, que reaparecía después del trágico accidente ocurrido en Lezama en el mes de febrero.
